'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' International Trailer
The summer movie season's winding down, but there should be plenty of big, exciting action this fall as well. Among the upcoming offerings are The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which picks up with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) on their victory tour around Panem following the events of the first film. Francis Lawrence directs this time around.
A new international trailer has just hit for the film, and you can check it out after the jump.
Catching Fire introduces a whole bunch of new characters, many of them former Victors including Finnick (Sam Claflin), Mags (Lynn Cohen), Johanna (Jena Malone), Wiress (Amanda Plummer), and Beetee (Jeffrey Wright). They don't get much screentime in this trailer, unfortunately, but I'm sure we'll get to know them much better as the marketing campaign goes on.Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Donald Sutherland, and Philip Seymour Hoffman also star. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens November 22.
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
