'Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa' Trailer: Johnny Knoxville Channels Sacha Baron Cohen
We were surprised just a couple weeks ago to hear not only that there would be a new Jackass film, but that is already finished and ready to go.
Now here's the first trailer for Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, which puts Johnny Knoxville in his Irving Zisman old-man makeup for a film that is partially improvised in the classic Jackass mold, and partially scripted. Irving and a kid take a cross-country trip, and what transpires is, well, pretty much exactly what you'd expect. Check out a trailer below.
I'm such a sucker for the Jackass stuff that I'd watch this no matter what. But I loved how the third film addressed the cast's increasing age, and I'm really curious to see how this one plays with the basic formula. The fact that this looks like David Lynch's The Straight Story filtered through Jackass and the movies of Sacha Baron Cohen doesn't hurt.
Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa will be out on October 25.
86 year-old Irving Zisman is on a journey across America with the most unlikely companions, his 8 year-old Grandson Billy in "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa." This October, the signature Jackass character Irving Zisman (Johnny Knoxville) and Billy (Jackson Nicoll) will take movie audiences along for the most insane hidden camera road trip ever captured on camera.
Along the way Irving will introduce the young and impressionable Billy to people, places and situations that give new meaning to the term childrearing. The duo will encounter male strippers, disgruntled child beauty pageant contestants (and their equally disgruntled mothers), funeral home mourners, biker bar patrons and a whole lot of unsuspecting citizens.
Real people in unreal situations, making for one really messed up comedy.
