Watch The First Two Episodes Of 'Battlestar Galactica: Blood And Chrome'
We've waited a good while for the debut of Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome, the web series which focuses on a young William Adama (Luke Pasqualino, Skins) and his youthful encounters with early Cylons. There was once a chance that the series might air exclusively on television, but Syfy has broken the pilot up into a web series. That's not so bad, however, because you can watch the first episode below.
(The full movie airs on Syfy in February, with an unedited DVD release to follow immediately next year.)
The original trailer we saw for the series made the effects look ambitious, but rickety, but the final trailer release made clear that the first look at the show was very premature. The show was shot against greenscreen, and there's a blown-out, halo'd look to much of the lighting and many effects, likely intended to make it all look more organic than, say, the Star Wars prequels. And while the writing isn't quite as impressively on point as the televised series, what you'll find in these first two 12-minute episodes is likely going to make BSG fans pretty happy.
