'Battlestar Galactica: Blood And Chrome' Trailer - SyFy Prequel Series Premieres Online Friday
Who wants to see William Adama kill some frakkin' toasters this week? Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the Battlestar Galactica prequel series, Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome, will make its world premiere online this Friday on Machnima. The show follows a young William Adama (Luke Pasqualino, above) as a Viper pilot on the battlestar Galactica during the first Cylon war. Edward James Olmos played the elder version of the character on the recent TV show.
SyFy originally put the show into production as a pilot but it wasn't picked up. It now exists as a two hour movie which'll be released online in 7-12 minute segments via Machinma Prime over the next month, followed by a full airing on SyFy in 2013 and an unrated release on Blu-ray after that.
After the jump, check out the trailer for the show (which is pretty much the same as the one we posted in March, only an official release with finished effects) and get a bit more info about it.
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly for the info. Here's the trailer for Blood and Chrome:
Here's the description of the show originally released in 2010, when it first became public.
Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, a sentient robotic race, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a brash rookie viper pilot enters the fray. Ensign William Adama, barely in his 20?s and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the Colonial fleet' the Galactica. The talented but hot-headed risk-taker soon finds himself leading a dangerous top secret mission that, if successful, will turn the tide of the decade long war in favor of the desperate fleet.
The movie is written by former BSG producer Michael Taylor and directed by Caprica's Jonas Pate.
Will you watch the show online or wait for the SyFy airing? How do you think it looks?
