Listen To New Trent Reznor And Atticus Ross Music From 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'
We're playing right into Sony's game here, but the studio has been doing great work using the Mouth Taped Shut Tumblr to promote David Fincher's new version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. This time we're looking at a video that shows a crew printing and cutting razor-blade shaped metal posters for the film. The clip is edited in a manner meant to convey unease, and just to make sure that feeling really sets in, about four minutes of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' score for the film is laid over it. Check out the video below.
My favorite part about this isn't even the score — it's the way the sounds of creating that poster are used to convey the same awful feeling as you'd get from hearing conventional foley work for a scene of murder — peeling the plastic from metal sheets, and the sound of the cutter are, I would assume, used in a way that very intentionally sounds like a crime being committed.
