'The Grey' Teaser Trailer: Watch Liam Neeson Prepare To Punch A Wolf
Joe Carnahan and Liam Neeson reunited after The A-Team to make The Grey, an adventure film set in Alaska in which Neeson and a gang of oil-rig workers survive a plane crash, but face the forbidding weather and Alaskan wilderness, not to mention a pack of wolves, as they try to make it to safety.
The first trailer has just hit, and I think all you need to know is in the still above. It shows Neeson with broken mini booze bottles (aren't those usually plastic?) taped to his knuckles for use in punching a wolf. Did you see that movement out of the corner of your eye? That was Jackie Chan, swelling with pride. That image is all I need to see — I'm watching this one.
Beyond that this looks far more fun than I expected. Could the director who made Narc have come back to the surface? I really hope so. The trailer makes The Grey look like the sort of silly/serious adventure blend we haven't seen in a while. In short, it looks entertaining as hell.
Yahoo has the HD trailer. The Grey opens on January 27 2012.
A group of oil-rig roughnecks are left stranded on the sub-arctic tundra after their plane experiences a complete mechanical failure and crashes into the remote Alaskan wilderness. The survivors, battling mortal injuries, biting cold and ravenous hunger, are relentlessly hunted and pursued by a vicious pack of rogue wolves.
