First Photo: Tom Cruise In 'Rock Of Ages'

Though the Eighties hair band musical Rock of Ages has a very recognizable cast (Tom Cruise, Mary J. Blige, Catherine Zeta Jones, Paul Giamatti, Malin Ackerman, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin) the images we've seen show those people as unrecognizable, or at least well outside their normal image zone. There's that crazy Baldwin pic and now this image of Tom Cruise as rock star Stacee Jaxx. Check out the full, shirtless image from the Adam Shankman film after the jump.

Cruise's character, Stacee Jaxx, is a famous rock star who becomes involved with a fresh-off-the-bus girl (played by Julianne Hough) who gets chewed up and spit out by the '80s Los Angeles rock scene. With his shirt off, those tattoos, pants and jewelry, Cruise certainly looks the part.

Rock of Ages is set for release June 1, 2012.
