Infographic: The Relationships Of 'Game Of Thrones'
Though it already got picked up for a second season, HBO's Game of Thrones continues to gain popularity with each passing week. The ratings have been slowly ticking upward as audiences learn more and more about this down and dirty, mystical world where no one can be trusted and death is always right around the corner. Though the writers, directors and editors of the series have done a more than adequate job of keeping the viewer informed of who is related to who, who trusts who and the long standing rivalries, it can still get a bit confusing. To help solve that problem, super-cute designer Magda Maslowska of HauteSlides has created an incredibly in-depth infographic detailing all of the interpersonal relationships on the show. One look will almost make your head explode.
A huge thanks to HauteSlides for this awesome work with a heads up from the I Love Charts Tumblr. Here's how Maslowska says whole thing came about:
I'm a huge fan of HBO's new series Game of Thrones. I've anxiously anticipated the show since it's been announced and simply can not get enough of it. In addition to viewing each episode TWICE I've spent countless hours on the HBO website looking through the character guides. There is a lot of back story for this show and the multitude of characters is almost overwhelming. Yesterday I started doodling the different relationships between the houses... and before I knew it I was at the computer creating a full blown relationship tree. This hasn't been an easy task due to the sheer volume of characters involved but I've had a lot of fun trying to come up with an easy to understand guide.
I hope you click over to HauteSlides to look at the detail this chart goes into. The incredibly complex set of characters and relationships in this series is mind-boggling.
