New 'Dark Knight Rises' Rumors Surface Regarding Catwoman, Talia Al'Ghul And Bane
Though there's very little real, legitimate information out there on The Dark Knight Rises, it's not for lack of trying. Tons of journalists lucky enough to attend the Oscars this past weekend spoke to cast members Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and even director Christopher Nolan and got little to nothing in terms of news. Hathaway told Oprah she be playing Catwoman, but that's about it.
Still, the film is slowly coming together and as production ramps up, more and more information will leak out. Case in point, Badass Digest has what they think is legitimate information regarding how all of the official (Tom Hardy as Bane, Hathaway as Catwoman) and unofficial (Joseph Gordon-Levitt possibly as several people, Marion Cotillard possibly as Talia Al'Ghul) actors and characters fit into the story. Check it out and speculate after the break.
If you are trying to stay spoiler free for Batman 3, then you probably shouldn't read what's about to be said because it could be considered major spoilers.
Here's what a "good source" told Badass Digest:
Anne Hathaway will be Catwoman in the movie. I can't tell you what role she has in the beginning, but by the end of the story Catwoman isn't a villain but rather an ally of Batman. And who are they teaming up to take out? The League of Shadows. Headed by Talia Al'Ghul. With Bane, who is her muscle/possible love interest. And with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in tow. Is he playing Black Mask? My source didn't know, but did know that Levitt is certainly an antagonist and involved with the League of Shadows.
The article goes on to remind us that, much like the League of Shadows, Nolan and his team are masters of deception (or is it Inception) and could just be perpetrating false rumors or placing ideas in our minds. Plus the source, reportedly, only knows part of the story. Still, this makes total and complete sense both with the character's that have been announced and the people we've met in the previous films.
Let the speculation begin.
