'Beavis And Butt-Head' Return To The Big Screen In 'Jackass 3D'
In July it was revealed that Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-head would be returning to MTV after a thirteen year absence. And we've heard rumblings of a big screen return for years now, most recently as a possible live-action adaptation (ick). I am happy to report that Beavis and Butt-head will be returning to the big screen, in 3D. Details after the jump.
I have received a couple e-mails and can finally confirm that Beavis and Butt-head will return to your local multiplex. And you don't have to wait long, they will return on October 15th 2010. That's right — later this week! The duo appear in a special animated 3D introduction that MTV commissioned for Jackass 3D.
And what do Beavis and Butthead talk about in the special animated segment? Well, 3D of course!
And don't worry, just because the segment was produced and projected in 3D doesn't mean that Beavis and Butt-head have been converted into computer animated beings. Everything is said to look exactly as it has in the previous 2D animated television series and movie, but with the 3D applied with different panes of depth (ala how Disney converted the still yet-to-be-released Beauty and the Beast).
So if you want to see the return of Beavis and Butt-Head, buy a ticket to Jackass 3D later this week.
