Paramount Has Spent $280 Million On The Last Airbender
LA Times reveals that not only has Paramount Pictures spent $150 million for the production budget of M Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, but they also invested over $130 million on the film's marketing campaign. The article claims that The Last Airbender is "more than twice as expensive as any of Shyamalan's previous eight films."
Of course, Airbender is based on the popular Nickelodeon and the film has likely made a huge chunk of money back already on merchandising/tie-ins alone (McDonalds, Flip, Video Games, Spin Master toys, and and much much more). But can Paramount make back their full investment on Airbender?
