Ghostbuster 3: Dan Aykroyd Says Filming Starts This Fall For 2011 Release, Harold Ramis Claims In Theaters "Christmas 2012", Bill Murray Says "It's Just A Myth"
What is going on with Ghostbusters 3? Will it ever happen? And if so when? Pick a Ghostbuster, get a completely different answer. Last month Bill Murray dismissed the sequel as "just a myth," and that "all this talk is just talk." Over the past couple days Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd weighed in, and one thing is clear — no one is on the same page.
Harold Ramis tells ABC 7:
"Well, there's been a lot of talk about a third Ghostbusters film, which has now become real. It's... I can say with some certainty that there will be a third movie. It won't be out until Christmas 2012, but the work is going on now."
GBFans talked to Dan Aykroyd at a recent Crystal Head signing, and here is what they reported:
Dan confided in Ghostbusters Fans about the future of Ghostbusters 3. He told our members that Ghostbusters 3 should start filming this Fall, presumably for a 2011 release.
So is Ghostbusters 3 filming later this year for a release next Summer? That's definitely not going to happen with director Ivan Reitman returning to helm.
Will it hit theaters on Christmas 2012? Sounds possible.
Or is it all just talk? Also likely.
