/Film Voted Best Entertainment Blog Of 2007
Note: You are not having a deja vu, I've republished this post on Monday morning so that our weekday readers could hear the good news...
/Film has been voted the Best Entertainment Blog in the 2007 Performancing Blog Awards. Because of you guys, we won the "Readers' Choice Award", after taking in 54% of the vote between six other great sites – including our good friends at Film School Rejects and FirstShowing (which took home the Editors Award).
I want to send a big thank you to all our loyal readers. We've grown in leaps and bounds over the last six months, and it's all your fault!
Technorati currently has us listed as the 78th most popular blog on the internet. And by my calculation, that makes us the most popular movie blog on the web. Gawker is listed at #35, Perez at #13, TMZ at #12, but those three sites are considered Gossip blogs more than anything else.
So again, thank you guys for making our success possible! When I first started /Film, I never imagined that we would ever become this popular. I had very modest goals, and thanks to you we've surpassed all of them. Onward and upwards!
A special shout out to Dennis and the guys over at Cloverfield Clues for their support. You guys rock! Cloverfield fans are insane. You see that big jump in July 2007 on the graph above? That was when the Cloverfield movie trailer was released attached to Transformers....
