Paul Thomas Anderson Already Writing Next Movie
Magnolia and Boogie Nights are amongst some of my favorite films of all time. Ten years ago, many people considered Paul Thomas Anderson to be the next big director to emerge from the 70's generation of filmmakers. But Anderson (not to be confused with that hack that makes those video game movies) hasn't made a film since 2002's Punch-Drunk Love. His adaptation of There Will Be Blood will hit theaters later this year, but the real question is: How long will we have to wait for our next Anderson fix? Five, Ten Years? Maybe not...
The director has told Entertainment Weekly that There Will Be Blood has helped revitalize his creative process.
"I'm writing something new now – and I actually like it," he told the magazine. Then, with a chuckle: "I know that will end."
