Two Face Might Not Be In The Dark Knight
When Aaron Eckhart was cast in the Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight, everyone wondered if his character, Gotham's District Attorney Harvey Dent would show his other face. Eckhart added fuel to the fire by referring to his character's villainous future identity, Two-Face, in public interviews. Well now screenwriter David Goyer says that might not be the case at all.
"I think Harvey Dent has been mentioned. I don't know that Two-Face has been mentioned," Goyer told SciFi. "All I can say is some people raised their eyebrows when they heard there were going to be two villains in the first film [Batman Begins], but I think that one worked out just fine."
The screenwriter went on to say that the story was tweaked an tweaked again "because we really did not want to let down the fans. We had to figure out a way to top ourselves, and I think we have."
What we know: The sequel will follow Batman as he enlists the aid of Gordon and Dent in "bringing down the Joker… but not killing him. In the third movie, the Joker would go on trial, scarring Dent in the process," screenwriter David Goyer previously revealed. So may-b e Dent won't transform into Two-Face in the second film.
The Dark Knight will hit theaters on July 18, 2008.
