Dafne Keen talks The Acolyte

In an interview with TechRadar, Dafne Keen (of "Logan" and HBO's "His Dark Materials") discussed working on "The Acolyte," the upcoming series created by Leslye Headland (Netflix's "Russian Doll"). Keen couldn't say much but did mention that the series will see the Sith infiltrate the Jedi order.

"It's set one hundred years before the prequel movies, and it's kind of an explanation of how the Sith infiltrated the Jedi. It's a Sith led story, which has never been done before. It's been really fun to film, the cast is amazing, and the director [Leslye Headland] and crew are just lovely. The whole experience is wonderful and I'm already excited for people to see it."

The series also stars Amandla Stenberg ("Bodies Bodies Bodies"), Lee Jung-jae ("Squid Game"), Manny Jacinto ("Nine Perfect Strangers"), Jodie Turner-Smith ("Queen & Slim"), Rebecca Henderson ("Inventing Anna"), Charlie Barnett ("Russian Doll"), Dean-Charles Chapman ("1917"), and Carrie-Anne Moss ("The Matrix"). Here's the official synopsis:

'The Acolyte' is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

Star Wars: Hidden Empire

In "Star Wars: Hidden Empire" #2, written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Steven Cummings with a cover by Paulo Siqueira, Crimson Dawn's Lady Qi'ra plans to use an ancient Dark Side weapon, the Fermata Cage, to destroy the Sith. StarWars.com has an exclusive first look at the issue, which arrives December 7 and is available for pre-order now on ComiXology.

The 5-part "Star Wars: Hidden Empire" miniseries is the final installment in Soule's unofficial Qi'ra trilogy, following "Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters" and "Star Wars: Crimson Reign."

Star Wars: Anatomy of Evil

The Canvas has a great video essay about bureaucratic evil in "Andor" through the lens of Hannah Arendt's 1963 book, "Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil."

Nemik's Manifesto

SWFT has a rousing video set to Nemik's manifesto from "Andor." And just in case you need some inspiration, here's the excerpt from the season finale:

"There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Remember this. Freedom is a pure idea. It occurs spontaneously and without instruction. Random acts of insurrection are occurring constantly throughout the galaxy. There are whole armies, battalions, that have no idea that they've already enlisted in the cause. Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

And then remember this. The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that. And know this, the day will come when all these skirmishes and battles, these moments of defiance, will have flooded the banks of the Empire's authority, and then there will be one too many. One single thing will break the siege. Remember this. Try."
