Zach Braff's 'Wish I Was Here' Teaser Trailer
Zach Braff's Wish I Was Here is now infamous because of the controversy surrounding Braff's Kickstarter campaign. But the film premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and was a real crowd pleaser — earning a standing ovation at the Premiere screening (it was one of my favorites of this year's fest). Focus Features snapped up the distribution rights, and the movie is being released on July 25th, 2014. The Wish I Was Here trailer was released this morning, and you can see it for yourself. Wish I Was Here is a dramedy about "a thirtysomething man who finds himself at major crossroads, which forces him to examine his life, his career, and his family." The ensemble cast includes Zach Braff, Kate Hudson, Mandy Patinkin, Josh Gad, Joey King, Jim Parsons, Ashley Greene, and Donald Faison. Zach Braff's Wish I Was Here Teaser Trailer
I think the teaser trailer shows off Braff's superhero special power of being able to capture his characters inside important moments of their lives, sometimes in slow motion. As I said before, I really enjoyed this film, but I was also a fan of Garden State. Wish I Was Here is a more mature film, but like Garden State, it still feels very much like a song. People who like those kind of movies should definitely look out for Braff's latest feature film. Leave your thoughts on the trailer in the comments below.
