More Images Of Vision Revealed In 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' Promo Art
Marvel has yet to reveal, or barely even acknowledge, the fact Paul Bettany plays Vision in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron. Unfortunately for them, as they try and hold back a big, official reveal, they can't help that the character is all over promotion, marketing and licensing tools for the film. So we've already seen a lot of what Bettany's character will look like in the movie. Now, we've got even more images. Check out the latest Vision Avengers 2 images below, along with a new look at the Hulkbuster, Ultron and Black Widow. Beware – a few minor spoilers here.
This new Vision Avengers 2 image set, which also includes another look at Hulkbuster, Ultron and even Black Widow, has an unknown origin. The hat tip goes to Superhero Hype. And again, minor spoilers follow.
That Vision/Ultron split is pretty excellent, yes? More on that in a sec. The rest of it is a little less revealing. I think we already had an idea that it was Iron Man, not just Tony Stark, inside the Hulkbuster. This photo makes that pretty clear. Black Widow has a few new gadgets, which makes sense too. Basically, we're feeding on scraps here until Marvel drops a new trailer or poster or something on us.
Also, in case you missed it yesterday, another piece of promo art revealed Vision's origin and purpose, solidifying his role in the movie. It's definitely a bit of a spoiler, but check it out as it's worth discussing:
Programmed by the combined geniuses of Tony Stark & Bruce Banner and imparted with the ability to fly, project intense energy beams and change the density of his form, the Vision has proved himself a worthy hero, aiding the Avengers in their struggle against the evil A.I. Ultron.
Reading that, you've gotta love that Banner had a part in his creation and can't wait to see him team up with The Avengers. The image above of the split head is curious though. We know Vision's origin is rooted in Ultron's and vice versa, but how much the two tangle should be very interesting indeed. Also – where the heck does Vision go when all is said and done? He can't exactly blend in.
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1.
