'The Good Dinosaur' Teaser Trailer: Pixar Changes History
We've been pretty excited about this summer's Inside Out, but that's not the only treat Pixar has in store for us this year. Coming this fall is The Good Dinosaur, directed by Peter Sohn. Now the first The Good Dinosaur teaser trailer has arrived, and it does nothing less than alter history itself. Watch it after the jump.
(Try not to think too hard about the fact that if dinosaurs really had avoided extinction, humans probably wouldn't have evolved in quite the same way.)
Jurassic Park movie after Jurassic Park movie has taught us that people and dinos don't get along, and we're about to learn that lesson all over again later this month in Jurassic World. But as the title suggests, The Good Dinosaur revolves around a friendly sort of dinosaur, an Apatosaurus named Arlo (voiced by Lucas Neff) who befriends a human boy called Spot. You can think of it basically as a "boy and his dog" story, with Arlo as the boy and Spot as the dog.
The first clips from The Good Dinosaur played at Cannes this spring, and according to Variety "played like a cross between Tarzan and Lilo & Stitch." For you science geeks out there, the dinos on display will include T-Rexes, a Pterodactyl, and a Velociraptor.
The Good Dinosaur opens November 25, 2015. Judy Greer, Neil Patrick Harris, Bill Hader, Frances McDormand, and John Lithgow are among the voice cast.
"The Good Dinosaur" asks the generations-old question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? In theaters November 25, 2015, the film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event unsettles Arlo's family, he sets out on a remarkable journey, gaining an unlikely companion along the way – a human boy. "The Good Dinosaur" is an extraordinary journey of self-discovery full of thrilling adventure, hilarious characters and poignant heart.
