And how would you like to see a bunch of scantily clad girls inspired by Marvel? All that and more are in today's Superhero Bits!
This video of the Ironettes, the rockettes but dressed as Iron Man as seen in Iron Man 2, is from a recent convention in France. Many thanks to Geekologie for this video which very much speaks for itself.
First Showing is running several rumored details on what Marvel has planned for The Avengers at Comic Con. No Hall H presentation, unfortunately, but apparently S.H.I.E.L.D. will be all over the show floor with possible sets, security guards, and maybe even monitors showing a brief teaser. Disney has no comment – why would they – but it sounds like it could be the talk of the convention. Head over to First Showing for more info.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Coulson himself – Clark Gregg – does have some comment on the possibility, however. He hinted towards an Avengers Comic Con plan on Twitter: "Just got some sick secret info about comicon. May be gettin' strategic in the homeland. Might even do some intervening. More to follow.."
Esquire did a photo shoot and interview with soon-to-be-star Hayley Atwell, who plays Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger. If you head to that site you can see more pics and read a full interview that includes quotes like this:
When Chris Evans first took his shirt off on the set of Captain America, I just instinctively grabbed his man boob. They kept it in the film. So we did a couple of takes of me being really inappropriate with my hand on his pec for the duration of the scene.
Blastr has a hilarious article called "5 despised superheroes who might actually make great movies." One example is Cypher, the above character, who they describe as follows, before saying why they could make a great movie:
Arguably the all-time most useless superhero in a fight, the boy otherwise known as Doug Ramsey has the mutant power to translate languages: which is all well and good, but not very helpful when force bolts are being fired around.
Epix Channel (via ComingSoon) have started to air two featurettes on Captain America: The First Avenger. That's the first above, the second is at that link. Cap is coming, people.
Due to the amount of graphics and images included in Superhero Bits, we have to split this post over TWO pages. Click the link above to continue to the second page of Superhero Bits.
Comics Alliance has put together a post highlighting all of the Baskin Robbins creations specially made for Captain America: The First Avenger. Ice cream cakes, sundaes and even Super Solider Swirl. Sounds delicious.Movies.com does running columns on many of the major upcoming releases and their latest one on Man of Steel has a rumored plot description that is very close to what happens in the "Birthright" comic series. Read the description below and then head to Movies.com for more info:
Clark Kent is a freelance reporter in his early 20's, traveling all around the world covering various news stories. However, Kent is forced to fly back into action to attain a fleeing assassin instead of covering an ethnic conflict between the Ghuri and Turaaba clans in West Africa. Upon his return to form, Kent returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and become the hero he was born to be.
The Daily BLAM has put together a round of screenshots from the brand new Captain America: Super Solider video game. Looks cool but how often are these games good? Not very often.
Back to Marvel and Comic Con, The Hollywood Reporter adds fuel to the fire that Chris Evans will be in attendance at the convention that stars in three weeks and they might even host special midnight screenings of the film. Makes sense, as it opens that weekend.

Nolan Fans (via The Daily BLAM) have posted some shots of prominent cast members in The Dark Knight Rises arriving on set. That's Tom Hardy. This is why we have superhero bits, folks. Is it cool to see that? Yes. Is it worth more than 5 seconds of your time? No. The link also shows Marion Cotillard and Alon Aboutboul.Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges are teaming up for R.I.P.D. and io9 has a script review with only minor spoilers. They say the film has "a definite Men In Black vibe to it, with a hefty dose of Ghostbusters" and is actually pretty solid. Here's a snippet:
All in all, it's got a fun vibe to it, and if it manages to keep the loose, silly humor that's in the draft and Reynolds and Bridges have as much chemistry as they ought to, then it could well be a comedy classic on the level of the original M.I.B.

Superman Homepage (Via ComingSoon) has some Man of Steel set pics depicting a broken house. How does this fit into the movie?
Lastly, here's our best look yet at your Dark Knight Rises' Wayne Manor – Wollaton Park in Nottingham, England. Thanks to Bleeding Cool.
