In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Mark Millar gave a bunch of new info on Kick-Ass 2, specifically a breakdown of the story between the Hit Girl and Kick-Ass 2 comics :
You can read one and not have to read the other, but when you go and see the movie, it's basically Hit-Girl for 45 minutes and then an hour of Kick-Ass 2... In Kick-Ass 2 we just saw [Red Mist] immediately as the Motherf***er, and he had his gang around him. I wanted to show in the Hit-Girl series how that happened – him going out there and committing the world's first super crime or him going off around the world like a bad Bruce Wayne and learning all this stuff.

In an interview with Moviefone, Sam Mendes talked about how he was pitched to direct The Avengers:
With a lot of these movies, the date's announced before anything exists, let alone a script. The funniest letter I got — they were sending [a packet for] 'The Avengers,' right? For directors to pitch — and I got a package, which was full of comic books, but no treatment; there was no script. But the cover letter said 'Marvel's 'Avengers' will be released on May 3, 2012' or whatever it was. That was the first sentence of the cover letter. Not, 'We have the pleasure of enclosing the materials..." or "Here is the script for...' But the release date. That was the first sentence.
