How Does Batman Fit Into 'Suicide Squad?'
The instant Warner Bros. announced Jared Leto was playing The Joker in Suicide Squad, the questions began. Many of them were centered on how that character, a character most know solely as a Batman villain, would exist in a film without his counterpart. It turns out – he won't.
A new scoop from El Mayimbe tells us both that Batman is in Suicide Squad and how, specifically, he plays into the film. If true, it's very likely a minor, but crucial, spoiler not only about Suicide Squad, but Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice too. Read the Suicide Squad Batman connection below.
Again, the Suicide Squad Batman news comes from Latino Review's El Mayimbe.
Again – Spoiler Warning.

Details about THE GOD DAMN #BATMAN in #SUICIDESQUAD! #SPOILER #WARNING According to sources, in the film Batman is some sort of big boogeyman that the government REALLY hates. Get this, prior to the events in #BatmanvSuperman, THE JOKER is the only one to really ever meet him or know him and that's why he's so important to Amanda Waller. They have footage of Batman in action which they watch. There is a bit of dialogue where they say Batman is the key to tracking down all "the supers." Very cool stuff.
Lots and lots to digest and discuss here. Again, this obviously can't be confirmed until we see the movie, but Mayimbe's track record very good over the past few years. So I believe him. I especially believe him because the rumor about Batman being something of a myth in this new DC Universe has already been out there. Apparently in Batman v Superman too, he's a very mysterious character who pretty much no one has ever seen. That's why the above connection makes sense. If anyone can meet and potentially out Batman, it's Joker.
The character being a glorified side note in Suicide Squad makes sense too. You don't want to take the focus away from the main story and introducing the new characters. However, seeing Batman on a video monitor keeps the connected universe intact.
Do you think his is a worthy way of tying Batman into Suicide Squad? How is he the key to tracking down "all the supers?" And why would the government hate him?
