Among the special features offered on the Blu-ray release is a feature-length documentary where director Rian Johnson "takes fans on an intimate journey into the creation of" Last Jedi. This documentary will go into everything from 'the painstaking process of creating Snoke' to 'deconstructing action-packed scenes from the film such as the epic space battle and the final confrontation.'"
This will be the second documentary to accompany The Last Jedi, with ABC News Features releasing the forthcoming The Force of Sound documentary on the film's stunning sound design.
But the biggest draw of this Blu-ray release is probably the whopping 14 deleted scenes — a curiously big number even for a blockbuster of this size. Much hoopla has been made over scenes and entire subplots that appeared in the trailer only to be cut from the movie, and now we can finally get a glimpse of them. Release the Snyder — er Johnson — cut, as they say!
