Rescheduled: 'Rio' And 'Water For Elephants'
20th Century Fox has announced they are moving the release dates of the 3D computer animated film Rio and Water For Elephants. Find out the new dates after the jump.
The release date changes were prompted by Warner Bros's decision to move Steve Carell's Crazy, Stupid, Love from April 22nd to July 29th, leaving a gap in the Easter calendar.
Francis Lawrence's big screen adaptation of Sara Gruen's bestselling novel Water for Elephants stars Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz and Hal Holbrook. The story follows a veterinary student who "abandons his studies after his parents are killed and joins a traveling circus as their vet."
Rio is directed by Carlos Saldanha (Ice Age, Robots, Ice Age: Meltdown, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs), and starring Anne Hathaway, Neil Patrick Harris, Rodrigo Santoro, George Lopez and Jake T. Austin. The story follows "a nerdy macaw who leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio de Janeiro. He embarks on the adventure of a lifetime, learning to open himself up to all that life has to offer along the way."
