Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter Will Be In 'Ant-Man'
As we saw in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Peggy Carter is an old woman in the present-day Marvel Cinematic Universe. Nevertheless, her younger self will be all over the MCU next year. In addition to headlining the TV series Agent Carter, Hayley Atwell is also set to appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron — and now we've learned she has a part in Ant-Man as well.
More details on the Hayley Atwell Ant-Man appearance after the jump.
NLC is searching for an experienced stand in for Haley Atwell. She is 31, 5'7?, 112 lbs. This will work in November on a Sunday. Please submit to nlcstandin@gmail.com with your headshot, age, height, weight and sizes. Must have experience. Thanks.
The new report bolsters an unconfirmed report from August that claimed Atwell's Peggy would appear alongside younger versions of Howard Stark, Armin Zola, and Alexander Pierce in a scene featuring Hank Pym at S.H.I.E.L.D. That was a few drafts ago, but the fact that Atwell is now confirmed to be in Ant-Man suggests there's a good chance we'll see the others too. Plus, of course, it's just plain great news for fans of Atwell's retro badass.
Atwell made her debut as Peggy in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger. She made enough of an impression that Marvel has brought her back several more time since then. She's appeared in her own Marvel One-Shot, guest-starred on ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and cameoed in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. But next year will be her busiest year as a Marvel star yet, between Agent Carter, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and now Ant-Man.
You can look for Atwell on Agent Carter starting in January, Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1, 2015, and Ant-Man on July 17, 2015.
