Official 'Super 8' Plot Synopsis Revealed
It's been reported that a new movie trailer for the Steven Spielberg-produced JJ Abrams-directed 1980's Amblin film homage Super 8 will be attached to Battle: Los Angeles, which hits theaters tonight at midnight. I'm sure we'll see some bootlegged trailers online before Paramount releases a clean official trailer. To prepare, Paramount Pictures has posted the official plot synopsis for the film. An official plot synopsis isn't usually a big deal, but the studio had not yet gone on record about the film's plot (aside from some editorialized plot points in an LA Times article which accompanied comments from Abrams).
Here is the official plot synopsis and cast/crew information:
In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
Directed by J.J. Abrams from his original script, the Amblin Entertainment and Bad Robot Production film is produced by Steven Spielberg, Abrams and Bryan Burk.
The film stars Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basson, Joel Courtney, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills and Amanda Michalka.
SUPER 8 is in theaters June 10.
