New Still From 'Ender's Game' Revealed, Plus All The Battle School Team Logos
Ender's Game is still nine months away, but Summit has slowly begun to crank up their marketing machine. A brand new still from the film was released today, along with the logos of the four Battle School armies. "Battle School armies," you say? Well yes.
Directed by Gavin Hood and based on a book by Orson Scott Card, Ender's Game is about a young boy (Asa Butterfield) who is recruited from Earth to a space-set Battle School. There, he'll learn to be a military leader by commanding teams of other young kids in zero gravity war games. Co-starring Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, Ben Kingsley, Abigail Breslin and Viola Davis, the film will be released November 1. Below, check out a brand new still and logos.
Here are the new images from Ender's Game. The first, of Ender (Butterfield) and Petra (Steinfeld) eating at Battle School, is from Ender News and the logos are from Coming Soon.
The first image, from the movie itself, is pretty self-explanatory. It's two characters talking in a mess hall. What's cool to notice is the scoreboard on the wall of the room, showing the stats of the recent battles. That looks great.
The second image are the logos for each of the armies: Rat, Asp, Salamander and Dragon. You can see that Petra and Ender are both in Salamander at this point in the film.
Expect much more about Ender's Game soon.
In the near future, a hostile alien race (called the Formics) have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander, Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young children to find the future Mazer. Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy, but strategically brilliant boy is pulled out of his school to join the elite.
Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult war games, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military's next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he's trained by Mazer Rackham, himself, to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.
