Jody Hill And Danny McBride Re-Team For 'The Legacy Of A Whitetail Deer Hunter'
Briefly: Director Jody Hill and actor Danny McBride made the bleak comedy The Foot Fist Way before collaborating on multiple seasons of HBO's comedy series Eastbound and Down. (With a moment working together on Observe and Report in between.) Now there's a new Jody Hill movie in the works, called The Legacy Of A Whitetail Deer Hunter, and McBride has a major role in its creation.
We don't know anything about the story, but the script is by Hill, McBride, and John Carcieri. McBride will be one of the primary actors in the film, and Josh Brolin is cast as well. Seeing Brolin work with this team, especially after his kooky work in Inherent Vice, could be a joy, and we're happy that McBride and Hill are doing a new film together in the wake of the conclusion of Eastbound and Down, which finished its HBO run in 2013.
