Latest 'Star Wars Episode VII' Rumors Detail Early Scene And Spin Previous Claims

Trying to figure out the plot to Star Wars Episode VII is like putting together a messed up puzzle. There's no guide, people are forging pieces, and we don't know what connects to what. Even pieces we think are correct could potentially be total crap. We won't have a real idea until we learn the title and see some footage, both of which are likely several months away.

Still, the impossible construction of the secretive plot is fun and today two new rumors enter the mix. One details a potential early scene in the film and a second calls into question several plot points we've pretty much accepted as fact. Read both the new Star Wars 7 rumors below.

While these are both just rumors, in the off chance either is true, these should both be considered spoilers. Beware.

The first rumor comes from the message boards on Star Wars 7 News. Message boards are not exactly a reliable source, but a few of the strands here line up with other things we've heard. So we figured it was worth throwing out there. It's a rumor description of a cantina scene from early in the movie where Daisy Ridley's character meets Chewbacca and Han Solo:

Cantina Scene.

Daisy arrives to Cantina in search of Han or Luke I believe. She is confronted by an alien, she lifts her blaster to him, he then takes it from her hand "Don't point a blaster at someone if you are not going to use it" and points it at her. At this point Chewie (With arm Bandaged/In a Sling) intimidates the alien, "What good is a one armed wookie" Chewie then rips the guys arm off and hands the blaster back to Daisy. Ford was not present at filming this, BUT..........Cut to the outside of the Cantina as a Planet/Moon is blown up outside, Han is present here (Wearing a thin cut, waist length leather jacket, boots etc, a "Matching outfit") oh and he still has his blaster :) I don't know if he has just arrived to meet up with Daisy and Chewie, but he is cutting through the crowd of onlookers as everyone is witnessing the destruction of "Whatever" was blown up in the sky.Note, not 100% sure if Boyega was in the scene but he was present, wearing "Rags" or "Untidy" Clothes.

This certainly sounds plausible, especially because we heard Ridley's character goes out to find Han or Luke at some point in the film. We also know Han and Chewie tend to hide in cantinas. But this, much like the ice planet rumor, the forest battle rumor and more, almost make it sound like the film takes every iconic location from the original trilogy and shoves it into one. For that reason, I'm skeptical about this.

The next rumor is from JediNews. Again, it has no particular authority other than it's based in statements we've come to take a truths. Statements like Luke Skywalker has been missing for 10 years at the beginning of the film and that Daisy Ridley and John Boyega's characters find him with Han and Chewbacca. We've all come to accept that but this rumor says we're reading it all wrong.

The concept of "Luke is missing/needs to be found" in Episode VII is being approached somewhat from the wrong angle in other rumor reports. The source says the "find Luke" premise is based off the cast of young characters (Ridley, Boyega, others?) trying to deal with a problem they uncover that they feel they can overcome themselves, presumably something relating to the machinations of the Sith and/or Empire. They feel confident in their abilities to attack this challenge head-on and quickly realize they are severely out-matched and way out of their league. So they alter their plans and scramble to enlist the aid of Luke, who is unaware of the situation (and how rapidly it escalates to a problem that requires his immediate attention) at the time of his "searching" by the young cast.

Considering everything we've heard about the film echoing the originals, this take sounds incredibly plausible. The early cockiness of the characters sort of mirrors Han and Luke's confidence in A New Hope, and the help they need sounds like an Obi-wan Kenobi thing. This feels a little less dramatic than the original take on Skywalker's whereabouts but, either could work.
