Over 60 Jurassic World Photos: Let's Over-Analyze The First Trailer
This morning, Universal released the first trailer for Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World. You can watch that awesome trailer here, in case you haven't seen it already. (Or if, like me, you want to watch it over and over again.) And for those of you who really want to take in all of the visuals revealed in the first Jurassic World trailer, we have compiled a batch of high resolution images from the film to let you take in all the awesomeness one image at a time. Jurassic World Photos
The Jurassic World trailer opens up with Gray (Ty Simpkins) and Zach (Nick Robinson), who will likely serve as our entry point into Jurassic World. We see that their mother and father are saying goodbye to them at an airport. Who sends their kids alone to an island full of dinosaurs? Isn't this usually a family or couples vacation? It didn't go well the last time kids were sent to this island without their parents :)
"Just remember, if something chases you — RUN!". We then cut to a shot of a cruise ship approaching the island of Isla Nublar, the same island from Steven Spielberg's original Jurassic Park. Gary and Zach must have taken a plane to Costa Rica and boarded the boat there to go to the island.
Gray is excited (Ty Simpkins doing his best Spielberg face) as the monorail brings him and the other park gusts through the Jurassic World gates into the resort.
Thats right, the Jurassic World gates are now at the entrance to the park's resort, and guests see them as they ride the monorail from the dock.
The monorail takes them to the Jurassic World equivalent of Universal's Citywalk or Disney World's Downtown Disney — it appears to be a shopping and dining destination for tourists while not on Jurassic World attractions and excursions.
We then get a glimpse of some of the new Jurassic World attractions and excursions, some of which recall moments from the original film, and some of which are way more technologically advanced and all new. A safari-like experience. /Film reader Tim Young points out the vehicle number is the same number as the Explorer that went over the ledge in the original Jurassic Park film.
A kayaking experience:
And a section of the park where visitors wait in line for the Gyrosphere. If you look on the left of the frame you can see the track where park visitors board the gyrospheres.
This attraction apparently allows two guests to ride in a gyroscopic ball around a gated section of the island. Like the previous attractions, we assume these experiences feature only herbivorous (plant eating) dinosaurs and not the more dangerous carnivorous dinosaurs. We see Gary and Zach riding by some dinos. Now imagine an action scene with dangerous dinos on the lose told from the POV of two characters in a gyrosphere. So cool.
We then cut to one end of the island, likely near the dock since we see the monorail from the beginning of the trailer zoom by on a track off-shore.
On the shore is an outdoor stadium set-up, almost like something you would see at Sea World, but it looks connected to the ocean surrounding Isla Nublar.
A great white shark (Jaws reference anyone?) is brought out into the middle of the outside water arena hanging from a rope.
Something moves below the water.
The water dino, possibly a Mosasaurus (as mentioned in the pamphlets and brochures), jumps out of the water to eat the shark.
The crowd gets soaked with water as the dinosaur flops back down into the water.
Notice the magic band=style wristbands on the park visitors. Are they to track the visitors or allow admisison to attractions and pay for purchases like Disney's magic bands?
/Film reader Andrew V points to this Jurassic World prop brochure which gives us some extra details about the attractions seen in the trailer:

We cut to a shot of Bryce Dallas Howard's character Claire who is waiting for an arrival on the Isla Nublar hellipad. Who is she waiting for? Tim Y points out this is likely Simon Masrani's (Irrfan Khan) helicopter, which can be seen on the Jurassic World viral site.
While Claire explains we have learned more in the last decade from genetics than we had in the previous century digging up bones, we see glimpses of the lab where they create the dinosaurs. Notice the new mosquito stuck in amber specimen and also the QR code barcodes on each of the dinosaur eggs in the incubation machine.
Claire announces the first genetically modified hybrid dinosaur. We can see some information on the displays behind her but I can't make out anything important.
We then cut to a dark laboratory hinting at what kind of monstrosity we might be in for:
Claire and Chris Pratt's character Owen talk about the new dinosaur as they overlook the newbie's huge paddock.
Cut to Owen emerging from an elevator looking very worried. We assume he took it down to the floor of the new dinosaur's paddock.
We see a gate, almost 40 feet high, with dinosaur claw marks. "Really think she climbed out?"
We cut to one of the kids. He s clearly not in a section of the park where he should be. He finds a blood stained hard hat ripped apart.
Cut to Owen in a command center of some kind telling Claire to evacuate the island. Claire is apparently in charge of the island in some capacity. Notice Jake Johnson at one of the computers as a character named Lowery.
/Film reader Tim Y sent in this modified image:
Owen and Clare find one of the gyrospheres ripped apart in a part of the island that is probably out of bounds of the normal gyropshere usage area.
We cut to a man with an ACU hat looking at a tracker, when a drop of blood falls from the sky and he looks up. What is he looking at?
Owen and Clair standing on top of a waterfall, they jump.
We see a shot of a human being dragged by a dinosaur through the jungle.
Claire learns of something really horrible.
A huge dinosaur chases Owen to one of the paddocks. Notice the arms hanging down from the top as he lunges forward in the second photo.
Claire with a flare.
Havoc at Jurassic World's downtown district. Notice the cool mosquito in amber inspired fountain on the right and the dinosaur bone sculpture on the left.
Gary and Zach run through the craziness. Notice the touristy Jimmy Buffet's Margaritavilla resturant in the background. Jurassic Park series producer Frank Marshall is a big fan of Buffet.
Claire yells "RUNNNN!!!!!"
Gray hiding out in one of the Jurassic World gift shops, notice the t-shirt hanging behind him. A dinosaur slowly approaches him.
Jurassic World logo revealed.
Raptors are released from their paddock.
Cut to Owen riding a motorcycle through the jungle.
Reveal that Owen isn't running away from the Raptors, hes taking them on a hunt.
End trailer credits. Did you notice anything that we missed?
