Judi Dench Cast In Clint Eastwood's 'J. Edgar'; Charlize Theron May Still Join

Briefly: Clint Eastwood continues to pull in impressive actors for his J. Edgar Hoover biography, titled J. Edgar. Leonardo DiCaprio is playing the title role, Armie Hammer (The Social Network) is his right-hand man and reputed lover Clyde Tolson, and the Australian actor Damon Herriman has a minor role as Bruno Hauptmann, the man tried and convicted for 'the crime of the century': kidnapping and killing the Lindbergh baby.

Now the director has told SandwichJohnFilms [via the Playlist]that Judi Dench is "definitely in the film" and that "we think [Charlize Theron] will be in the film." That would seem to indicate that Ms. Theron will be in J. Edgar rather than Snow White and the Huntsman, as the two films are meant to shoot int he same time period. Last we heard, Charlize Theron was up for the role of Helen Gandy, Hoover's long-time secretary. No word at this point who Judi Dench might play, but with her in the cast you can't really go wrong.
