Josh Brolin Knows The Entire 'Avengers: Infinity War' Story, And It Gave Him Goose Pimples
Phase Three of Marvel's cinematic universe only just kicked off earlier this summer with the arrival of Captain America: Civil War. That means we have two years and a handful of new Marvel movies before we get to see where all this is leading in The Avengers: Infinity War. The first part of the two-part sequel arrives in 2018 with the second part following in 2019. But Josh Brolin, the man who plays the mad titan Thanos, already knows the whole story.
In a new interview, Josh Brolin revealed that he has heard the entire story for The Avengers: Infinity War, and the good news is that he said he was "blown away" and he got "goose pimples" while listening to it unfold.
From an interview with Moviefone, here's Josh Brolin on Avengers Infinity War story:
Yeah, I sat at a table and I listened to the story from beginning to end, which was ... you know, sometimes you go around and you go, 'Oh, it's a great movie. Or this is a great experience,; and you kind of know that it's not. This is the opposite...These stories ... these Avengers stories all come down to this conclusion, and that's our involvement. Basically, my character against everybody. And it's really fun what they've chosen to do with the story. I think it's brilliant, personally. I was blown away, and had goose pimples pretty much 50% of the time that I was listening to what was going on, and pretty amazed that I'm going to be involved in it. So it's a big thing that's coming up.
Since Josh Brolin hasn't had much to do in the Marvel cinematic universe just yet, his level of excitement sounds like it's just as high as ours. There have been more than hints throughout several of these Marvel franchises that the Infinity Gauntlet story was on the horizon, and with confirmation that at least one member of the Guardians of the Galaxy and forthcoming superhero Captain Marvel (who may be played by Brie Larson) will be involved, this really will be Thanos against everybody.
Anthony & Joe Russo (Captain America: Civil War, Captain America: the Winter Soldier) are directing both parts of The Avengers: Infinity War with scripts from writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Plus, composer Alan Silvestri has been confirmed to score both of the movies. Production is supposed to begin this fall back in Atlanta, Georgia with both movies being shot back-to-back.Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 arrives on May 4, 2018 and Part 2 follows the next year on May 3, 2019.
