Hulk Hogan Has Talked With Sylvester Stallone About Being An 'Expendables' Villain
When we watch Rocky III, we see icons Mr. T and Hulk Hogan fighting Sylvester Stallone. Both actors became international superstars after the film, but at the time of release, neither was a known quantity. Hogan himself credits Rocky III with helping launch him to superstardom. He and Stallone have been friends ever since.
In a new interview, Hogan revealed he and Stallone recently talked about teaming up once more on the big screen, this time in The Expendables 4. Read the Hulk Hogan Expendables 4 quotes and more below.
Hogan was talking at the Body Power Expo in Birmingham, England (watch the full interview at this link) and said the following (via Movieweb):
We're trying to figure out a way to maybe turn me into the most evil man in the world. Y'know, Stallone gave me my first break and he's been a great friend. We had a great conversation, talking about the possibilities. 'Can I still run, can I still jump?' Well, not as fast or not as high, but I think Hollywood could find a good stunt man to help me out.
In the U.S., The Expendables 3 was the least successful of the franchise by far, grossing barely $40 million. Overseas, however, it did over $160 million. That is still lower than the previous two films, but pretty damn good nonetheless. A fourth film will almost certainly see the light of day.
With each sequel, the villain role has been played by someone famous. In The Expendables 2, it was Jean Claude Van Damme. In The Expendables 3, it was Mel Gibson. Hulk Hogan definitely would be a great name to go next especially since he'd fit in with the "We're getting too old for this shit" vibe of the movies. He's a hero past his prime. The last film did attempt to introduce a new, younger version of the team though so you'd have to imagine they'll be in there again as well.
