'Horrible Bosses' Trailer
Jason Bateman fans: today is all yours. We just saw a new theatrical trailer for The Change-Up, his body-switching comedy with Ryan Reynolds, and now here's the first trailer for Horrible Bosses. This is a comedy where three friends (Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day) scheme, in seemingly moronic ways, to knock off their three bosses, played by Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Aniston. We've had high hopes for this one, and the trailer has a few good laughs. (Many from Colin Farrell.) Check it out after the break.
So there is some Office Space flavor, and notes from a few other films, and Charlie Day seems to be playing a slightly less idiotic version of his character from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. But you've also got Jennifer Aniston playing against type as a sexually aggressive dentist, and Colin Farrell looking like he's having a great time as the schlumpy small-time lord of his own shabby empire. Throw all those characters into conflict, along with Jamie Foxx as wild card and 'murder consultant' Motherf***er Jones, and we might have a winner.
Seth Gordon (King of Kong) directs from a script by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. Horrible Bosses opens on July 8.
Thanks to the miracle of Apple's HD presentation, you can see every one of Colin Farrell's Homer Simpson comb-over hairs.
For Nick, Kurt and Dale, the only thing that would make the daily grind more tolerable would be to grind their intolerable bosses into dust. Quitting is not an option, so, with the benefit of a few-too-many drinks and some dubious advice from a hustling ex-con, the three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective employers...permanently. There's only one problem: even the best laid plans are only as foolproof as the brains behind them.
