First Look: Harrison Ford In 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues'
Star Wars Episode VII isn't shooting for a while yet, but in the meantime we have our first glimpse at Harrison Ford hard at work for another long-awaited sequel. Anchorman: The Legend Continues has begun production in Atlanta, and new pics from the set show Ford in costume as a Tom Brokaw type. Hit the jump to check them out.
The photos themselves aren't terribly exciting, since they just show Ford walking around in a classic suit. He doesn't even get a funny mustache like Ferrell and Paul Rudd do, though he does get to rock the hell out of those glasses. Even so, it's just fun to see Ford hanging out with Ferrell, especially as he doesn't often go for straight-up comedies.
No plot synopsis has been revealed, but director Adam McKay has been happy to talk up some of the details. He and Ferrell wrote the script, which sees the Channel 4 News Teams leaving San Diego behind for New York City. Changing times force them to deal, presumably with their trademark buffoonery, with racial diversity and cable news networks. Musical numbers will also be involved.
Ford is among several fresh faces among the cast for the sequel. As previously reported, James Marsden plays a rival anchor to Ron Burgundy (Ferrell), Kristen Wiig a love interest to Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), and Meagan Good Ron's new boss. Dylan Baker and John C. Reilly are also part of the cast, along with returning stars David Koechner and Christina Applegate.
Anchorman: The Legend Continues hits theaters December 20.
