When Will You See The First Clip From 'Captain America: Civil War'?
Marvel's Captain America: Civil War is still filming, but Disney is prepping to give us a first glimpse at next Summer's Marvel Studios film very soon. Find out how and where the first Civil War clip will be seen (but not what is in it), after the jump. Please don't proceed if you want to be surprised when it shows up. That is, potential spoilers ahead for upcoming Marvel movies.
Are you sure you want to know?
I really wouldn't consider this a spoiler, but I want to make sure you made this choice.
Okay, you were warned.
Ant-Man features two credits sequences, and one of them appears to be a clip from Captain America: Civil War.
I'm not going to spoil what happens in the clip, or who is in the clip. I did ask Marvel head Kevin Feige if this post-credits scene was in fact a clip from the upcoming May 2016 Marvel movie. He said:
"Yes, that is material shot for Civil War"
I followed up asking for clarification: So we'll see that scene in the movie next summer? Feige responded:
"Yes, you will. It might be different takes, it might be different angles. Somebody brought up the comparison to the Thor tag at the end of Iron Man 2, which was material shot for the Thor film but we cut slightly differently."
So there you have it. You can watch a very brief clip from Captain America: Civil War in the credits of Ant-Man. I also expect we'll get a bigger preview of Civil War at D23 Expo 2015 in August, although that has yet to be 100% confirmed.
To give you an idea of what to expect, here you can watch the Iron Man 2 post-credit sequence that Feige referred to. In the clip, S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Coulson is seen driving to a remote impact crater in the New Mexico desert. Over a phone, he informs Nick Fury that they've "found it." The camera pans to reveal Thor's hammer inside the crater. The scene appeared again slightly differently in Thor.
