Darren Bousman's '11-11-11' Teaser Trailer
While we have no idea when Darren Lynn Bousman's latest film Mother's Day will be released, there's no doubt about his next one. The movie whose title is its release date, 11-11-11, just finished shooting and is currently in post-production. Though the apocalyptic, psychological thriller about the numbers 11:11 has yet to find domestic distribution, it shouldn't be too difficult considering the built in release date, a complete lack of new horror films coming out after Halloween and this awesome teaser trailer. Check it out after the break.
Thanks to Bloody Disgusting for the heads up and exclusive on this one.11-11-11 stars Timothy Gibbs, Michael Landes, Wendy Glenn, Lluis Soler, Ángela Rosal, Brendan Price, Salomé Jimenez, Benjamin Cook, and Montse Alcoverro and here's the plot description:
After the tragic death of his wife and child, famed American author Joseph Crone travels from the United States to Barcelona, Spain to reunite with his estranged brother Samuel and dying father, Richard. However, fate has a different plan for Joseph as his life becomes plagued with strange happenings, and the constant sightings of the number 11. Curiosity quickly turns to obsession, and Joseph soon realizes that this number holds a horrific meaning not only to himself but possibly to all of religion. Isolated in a foreign country with only the support of his companion, Sadie, Joseph soon realizes that 11/11/11 is more than just a date, it's a WARNING!
Previously, we saw a bunch of photos from the film as well as a shorter teaser trailer. You can see all that by clicking here.
Having seen Bousman's last two films, Mother's Day and Repo! The Genetic Opera, I feel like the problem with each is that they try to do too much. 11-11-11 feels like it too could fall into that category but if it does so and while scaring the shit out of us with some killer new monster or demon or way at looking at numbers, I'm all for it.
What do you think about this trailer and this movie?
