Watch An 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' Trailer, As If It Was A 1995 VHS
Unless you lived it, it's hard to explain what was so special about a VHS tape. For most of a generation, the VHS tape was your window into another world. Not only did it contain the movies we loved, it was a fragile, clunky piece of equipment. They had to be handled with some kind of care, there were tricks to some of its mechanics and they all eventually broke. Plus, until the world of HD decades later, we didn't know just bad the image and sound actually were. Nevertheless, we loved them – and still continue to love them – dearly.
VHS is just one nostalgia button this new Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer mash-up presses. It's also filtered through action films of the Nineties. A time when bigger was better, dialogue was cheesier, and explosions were realer. Now, mash those two things up and you have this short, sweet trailer for Age of Ultron, as seen if it was a Nineties action film on VHS.

Coming soon to VHS: the hottest, edgiest, explosion-iest action hit of 1995, "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Check out this retro remix courtesy of Louis Plamondon, aka Sleepy Skunk.
In case you were wondering, no, not all that footage is from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Much of it is picked and choosed from various action movies of the Eighties and Nineties. Though I think it would be quite awesome if Joss Whedon some how worked a 3.5 inch disk into a movie about an artificially intelligent super robot leading an army of intelligent, super strong robots again a group of superheroes.
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1. It's written and directed by Joss Whedon and starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
